Drawing Realistic Ocean Waves.

Step 1. From the "Options" main menu, within the 'Set Default Options', set the Autoclick Color Option to (Cur >> Prev). Now, each time you left click the screen without moving the cursor, the Current color will change to the color you just clicked and the Previous color will change to the previous current color.

Step 2. From a picture having waves of your desired colors, select and copy a small portion from which to Autoclick colors as you draw waves. Then paste it in the area where your water will be painted. The section below was copied from the above picture.

Step 3. From the "Draw" main menu, select 'Draw Textured Strokes 1 Color -- Light or Heavy'; or use 2 Color if you prefer. Using Autoclick on the pasted section, set the current color to a color you desire for you water. Set the width as you want it (I used 30). Using small up and down strokes sort of like the letter U, draw series of these U strokes somewhat overlapping as you go. Autoclick to change the stroke primary color frequently as you progress. In the example below, I painted over a blank screen and let some of the white screen show through as whitecaps.

NOTE 1. The sky in the picture above was painted using the same steps but using horizontal strokes.

NOTE 2. To obtain a canvas look, save the image as a GIF and reopen it from the recent files menu. This will add small squares to the total picture. To make them less apparent, from the "Edit-2" main menu, use the 'AutoCopy Full Screen Image'. Then use the 'Blend' option from the "Modify Image Appearance" menu under Edit-2. If needed, use the 'Refine' option to sharpen the image.

NOTE 3. Use the Edit-2 'Brighten / Darken' feature to view brighter or darker views of the screen. A value of 10 gives the identical current brightness. A value of 9 or below will make it brighter and a value of 11 or above will make it darker. If needed, see the Help menu for this feature.
